Systems Administration and Support (with an emphasis on UNIX) – Responsible for design, architecture, installation, configuration, performance optimization and stability, and availability of environment.  Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve system problems for UNIX/Linux/Windows servers.  Provide end user support.

System Security – Ensure a secure systems environment.  Keep ECM’s network security, application security, and user authentication current with latest and best practices.   Review system and application logs for integrity; verify completion of scheduled maintenance and backups.  Play a key role in the planning, communication, testing and implementation of disaster recovery procedures.

Research, Upgrades and Support – Researches, evaluates, recommends and orders software and hardware products based on application needs and anticipated growth.  Performs hardware/software installation, patches and upgrades.  Forecasts system demands and recommends upgrades, expansion, or reconfiguration and implements proposed system enhancements

Skillsets

-5 or more years Linux administration experience
-Strong MySQL skills
-Experience managing Apache, and WordPress
-Strong UNIX shell scripting, and some programming experience
-VMWareESXi & NetApp storage experience
-Windows server, Active Directory/DNS experience
-Ability to respond to critical system outages in a fast and effective manner

Requirements

-Minimum 2 year technical degree in IT/Systems/Network Administration; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IS/MIS/CIS preferred.
-Minimum 5 years experience in systems administration or technical support.
-Understanding of systems development processes and business processes.
-Proven analytic skills and strong judgment.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Ability to work effectively with team/others and share knowledge to ensure team success.
-Demonstrated diagnostic skills.
