Gov. Pawlenty, Lt. Gov. Molnau announce Operational Clean-Up is under way

Spring cleaning for Minnesota roadways is under way again this year with the help of offender work crews and Adopt-a-Highway volunteers. Governor Tim Pawlenty and Lt. Governor Carol Molnau today announced the third annual "Operation Clean-Up" to pick up litter along the state's highways from now through September.

Gov. Pawlenty orders U.S. flags, State flag at half-staff in honor of Specialist Sean McDonald

Gov. Tim Pawlenty has ordered that the United States flag and the State of Minnesota flag be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol from sunrise until sunset on Monday, April 9, in honor and remembrance of Specialist Sean McDonald who died a hero while protecting his country and fighting for freedom on March 25, 2007, in Baghdad, Iraq.

Princeton High School junior, Hope Hennessey, has received a state honor for her professionalism as a high school mock trial member.

Mock trial is an extracurricular activity in which students learn about the American legal system by taking on roles in fictional trials. See more in story by Joel Stottrup in Princeton Union-Eagle.

High school teams compete against each other by either being the defense or the prosecution in a fictitious case.
