Making a difference — 1 house at a time
Champlin’s Riverway Church hosted its sixth annual Block of Blessing event Sunday, July 30.
Block of Blessing is a day each year when Riverway Church adopts an entire city block and gives it a giant makeover. Nearly 200 volunteers spent their time fixing up the 112th and 111th 1/2 blocks of Douglas Avenue in Champlin — doing everything from home repairs to landscaping.
“We love block of blessing, this is such a great thing that our church does every year,” Riverway Church volunteer Sheila Price said. “The neighbors are just awesome and they really love what we do.”
