New Life Choices prepares for grand opening in Princeton
The director of the Princeton branch of the 31-year-old, Milaca-based Rum River Life Choices Center said she and all the volunteers who have been helping are excited about the official grand opening of the local site Oct. 26 at 712 Rum River Drive S and an open house and dedication service 4-7:30 p.m. Oct. 19.
She said dozens of people, such as longtime volunteer and former board member Mabel Magnuson, who last week was helping sort clothes for the baby boutique, have helped pull things together for the Princeton location. Churches have helped, business have offered support and people have stopped by to drop off clothes or diapers or other supplies.
Life Choices is a place for people to turn who are experiencing a crisis pregnancy. Though it can happen at any age, said Peterson, the center mostly serves women ages 15-24, with education and an environment of support.
“We want them to know to know they’re not alone,” Peterson said.
