Lake Minnetonka Conservation District’s unofficial litter task force reconvenes

As a followup to its July 27 meeting, the LMCD’s unofficial anti-litter task force reconvened on Aug. 10 to pin down a course of action. Members of the task force shared efforts that had been undertaken in the intervening two weeks, and discussed further action.

The appropriate action, as the task force is finding, is difficult to nail down.

The consensus among the group was that the littering problem on Lake Minnetonka comes from several sources, and therefore, no one solution could provide a comprehensive fix for the issue. The discussion itself veered from litter to all manner of issues on the water and beyond.
