Waconia woman searches for father’s burial flag

On a gray and rainy Thursday, Terry Taylor was on a mission – though not the type of mission she usually embarks on with her fellow Patriot Guard riders.

Taylor, a Waconia resident, was scouring the neighborhoods along Sparrow Road, hanging up fliers and searching for a flag. The flag bears significant importance for Taylor – it was the flag presented to her at the funeral of her father, veteran John Achtzener, in 2000.
