Safe Communities of Wright County recently promoted the Wright County Sober Ride Program that highlights the value of alternative rides home.

The program was especially highlighted during St. Patrick’s Day, where officials also announced extra DWI enforcement and encouraged motorists to find alternative rides home

Safe Communities of Wright County is one Greater Minnesota organization that has implemented a sober cab ride program to make its roads safer for all motorists. Since the program began in 2010, rides have increased from 623 to more than 2,000 in 2014 — allowing more than 17,000 people to get home safely over the past five years.
