Caledonia Superintendent Ben Barton introduced the district’s annual report on curriculum, instruction and student achievement during the Sept. 23 School Board meeting. The document outlines the district’s mission, goals, curriculum committee and policies and presents student achievement data – test results.

The lengthy document is required from all districts by the state, though the presentation format differs from district to district.

The document outlines Caledonia’s results on the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments, commonly know as the MCA.

These tests were given to grades three through eight, 10 and 11 in the spring of 2013. The  percentage of students meeting or exceeding standards for reading and math has remained fairly consistent since MCA testing began, the report states.
