Moen sentenced for April 18 crash that claimed Wickham, Lee
Cody James Moen, 20, has been sentenced to concurrent terms of 48 and 58 months in prison for two counts of criminal vehicular homicide, operating a motor vehicle in a grossly negligent manner.
The charges rose out of an automobile/ motorcycle crash that occurred on April 18 on County Road 17 approximately .1 mile east of Highway 10 in Sherburne County. Brien Orland Wickham and Jacquelyn Michelle Lee were killed after the motorcycle they were riding was struck by an automobile driven by Moen.
Moen was also ordered to pay restitution and provide a DNA sample. Moen was taken into custody immediately following the hearing to begin serving his sentence, according to Sherburne County Attorney Kathleen Heaney.
Moen appeared in Sherburne County District Court in Elk River on Oct. 22 for sentencing. He had previously pleaded guilty to these charges on Aug. 15. See more in Editor Jim Boyle’s Star News story.
