Man jailed after bizarre party-bus assault in Apple Valley

A 24-year-old man was arrested outside Wild Bill’s Sports Saloon in Apple Valley after he allegedly attacked a man boarding a party bus outside the bar, causing the victim’s face to gush blood.

Paul G. Yankowiak Jr. of Faribault was charged with felony assault following the incident that occurred just after midnight Sept. 22 outside the bar at 15020 Glazier Ave.

Police say the attack was unprovoked. The victim – a 30-year-old St. Louis Park man – did nothing more than say hello and ask Yankowiak what his name was. See more in Andrew Miller’s Sun Thisweek story.
