Cambridge fallen firefighter Chip Imker to be honored at national service Oct. 7

The 31st Annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service will honor a Minnesota firefighter who died in the line of duty.

Firefighter Chip A. Imker, 35, of the Cambridge Fire Department, is among the 80 firefighters who died in 2011 and five firefighters who died in previous years, who will be remembered at the official national service held at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Md. on Sunday, Oct. 7.

Imker died from injuries sustained during rope rescue training on May 24, 2011. See more in the Isanti County News.
