Elks girls soccer team cruises by St. Cloud Tech, 6-0
Logan Daulton and Emily Lewis booted two goals each, leading Elk River in a 6-0 rout of a depleted St. Cloud Tech team at home on Saturday.
The Elks took a 5-0 lead in the first half with a stiff wind at their backs as they improved to 5-5-2 for the season, including 3-1-1 against section rivals.
Tech, missing four starters with injury, fell to 1-8-2.
Daulton assisted on two goals besides scoring her ninth and 10th of the year on a through ball (assisted by Hana Boudlali) and on a breakaway (assisted by Jenna Kivley). See more in Bruce Strand’s Star News sports story.
