President Obama to honor WNBA Champion Minnesota Lynx at the White House on Tuesday
NEWS RELEASE — Washington, D.C. – President Obama on Tuesday, September 18, will welcome WNBA Champion Minnesota Lynx to the White House to honor the team and their 2011 WNBA Finals victory.
The President will also recognize the Lynx’s ongoing efforts supporting health and wellness programs, continuing the tradition begun by President Obama of honoring sports teams for their efforts on and off the court.
The event begins 12 noon CDT.
