A wild finish goes Apple Valley’s way with 25-20 win over Rosemount

With less than three minutes remaining, Rosemount appeared to be grinding out a victory – and Apple Valley was dreading having to watch the video of the game.

The Eagles have seen that movie before, and they didn’t like how it ended.

“The last two years, we’ve been struggling to finish off a game,” Apple Valley senior linebacker James Horton said. “We were having trouble making a big play when we needed one.”

But, with the Eagles seemingly headed toward defeat in their football season opener, they made one. And then another. And then another.
