Beware, counterfeit bills are being passed at garage sales in Elk River
Having a garage sale anytime soon? Beware of counterfeiters if you are.
Elk River Police are investigating three cases of counterfit bills being passed, including ones that were passed at two.
“We have not been able to examine the bills as of yet, but we had two cases where someone allegedly passed the bills at garage sales and another case where the bill was passed at a business. The bills were $5 bill, $10 bill, and a $20 bill.”
One person believes the possible suspect was driving a green Jeep Cherokee, Kluntz said. — Jim Boyle, Star News
