Isanti Rodeo Jubilee Days chair excited for 2012 gathering
Isanti Rodeo Jubilee Days are just around the corner, which means Jubilee Days Committee Chair David Englund has been hard at work planning, organizing and doing whatever it takes to make this year’s event memorable.
“The big thing in my book is the whole town, everybody gets together at this yearly get-together where everybody visits with neighbors,” he said. “It’s a yearly party, or a yearly gathering, and it gets the kids out with all the activities.”
Englund, who grew up in the Bradford area and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1977, has been manager of the Isanti Ice Arena since it opened its doors in January 1998 and has held the Jubilee Days chair position the past three years.
The 2012 Isanti Rodeo Jubilee Days runs from Thursday, July 5, through Sunday, July 8. The parade will be held on July 5 at 6:30 p.m., preceding with a fly-over by the T-6 Thunder. The Isanti Redbirds, the 2011 Class C townball State champs, are this year’s Grand Marshal. See more in Elizabeth Sias’ Isanti County News story.
