Coon Rapids students Fuel Up to Play for healthy choices
More than 150 Fuel Up to Play 60 student leaders and their advisers from 27 Minnesota schools, including Coon Rapids and Northdale middle schools, celebrated their year’s worth of accomplishments at Mall of America Field.
Students were encouraged to motivate their peers to get involved in the Midwest Dairy Council nutrition and exercise program, with help from Princess Kay of the Milky Way Mary Zahurones, Viktor the Vikings’ mascot, Minnesota Viking Asher Allen, former Minnesota Viking Matt Blair and WCCO-TV sports reporter Mike Max in a hands-on educational event.
