Closure scheduled for Highway 13 at Sylvandale Road in Mendota Heights
Roseville, MN – The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) says motorists will encounter a detour and delays on Highway 13 in Mendota Heights as a short segment of the road is closed just south of Sylvandale Road at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 29.
The road will reopen by June 28.
The closure is needed as crews replace drainage pipes beneath the roadway and conduct other work to improve drainage in the area.
Motorists are advised to find alternate routes before they travel. A signed detour will follow Annapolis Street, Dodd Road, Wentworth Avenue and Wachtler Avenue. Local residences and businesses will remain accessible throughout the closure.
The work is part of the 12-mile long Highway 13 Better Roads project. When complete, the project will result in a smoother ride, improved drainage and upgraded pedestrian crossings and signals that meet modern accessibility standards.
