Overnight flooding closes Twin Cities Metro roadways
NEWS RELEASE — Roseville, MN – Motorists should exercise caution during the morning commute as overnight rain has caused flooding and closures at several locations around the Twin Cities Metro area. The following roadways are currently restricted or closed:
• Southbound I-35w to Hiawatha Avenue
• Right lane of northbound Highway 169 just north of I-494; and
• Northbound I-35W to westbound I-694.
Additional roads could be restricted or closed as rain continues today. Drivers are urged to watch for additional flooding or water standing on the roadway. Mn/DOT Maintenance crews are working to reduce the impact of flooding and reopen flooded highways.
