Model aircraft show in East Bethel on Saturday

Model airplanes will fly through the skies for the enjoyment of the public tomorrow (Saturday, May 19) in East Bethel.

The Anoka County Radio Control (ACRC) club is hosting a spring fly-in May 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its home field on the east side of Highway 65 and just north of Viking Boulevard in East Bethel. The field is behind the Central Wood Processing business. Parking is available on the site.

The event is called the fly-in because it signifies the beginning of the club’s season. The fly-out event at the end of the season is in early October, according to event coordinator Marc Davis of Chisago City. The club’s flying schedule can be found at www.anoka-rc.com.
