Now might be the time to be a candidate for congress in the Sixth District

Sound Off, Don Heinzman Blog – If anyone is thinking about becoming a congressman in the Sixth District, here’s your chance.

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann says she will run again from the Sixth District.   Her record of accomplishment in this district is as bad as her finish in the Iowa Caucus.

She’s done little or nothing for our district and during this past year she’s been running all over Iowa and the country trying to be a presidential candidate.

Bachmann never told us she wanted to be the darling of the Tea Party, when she ran for re-election.   Who even knows where the Tea Party members are in this Sixth District?  She organized the Tea Party Caucus in the House of Representatives, much to the dismay of people in her own district.

At one time when she was running around the country, she missed 55 consecutive votes in the House

She voted against the jobs bills when there were many unemployed in her district.

She voted against bailing out the banks when most economists will tell you if the banks hadn’t rescued the financial system it would have collapsed.

Would-be candidates are waiting until Feb. 21 when the courts will redistrict the state to see where her district will land.

She’ll be tough to beat because she’s able to attract so many dollars.  She’s attractive and she’s articulate.

But she deserves a worthy opponent to scare her into realizing she represents this Sixth District and it’s about time she comes home to it. – DON HEINZMAN
