Taxpayers League salutes best friends
The Taxpayers League of Minnesota has released its 2010 legislative score card with several area lawmakers earning the “Best Friend of the Taxpayer” award.
These are Republican representatives Bruce Anderson of Buffalo Township and Mark Buesgens of Jordan — Republican Sen. Ray Vandeveer of Forest Lake was also a recipient.
These lawmakers earned perfect scores.
Area lawmakers achieving scores of 90 percent or better include Republican representatives Bob Dettmer of Forest Lake, Joyce Peppin of Rogers, and Republican senators Debbie Johnson of Ham Lake, Mike Jungbauer of East Bethel, Warren Limmer of Maple Grove, and Claire Robling of Jordan.
House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher, DFL-Minneapolis, endorsed DFL-gubernatorial candidate, was graded at zero.
One of the higher scoring Democrats in this conservative exercise was Sen. John Doll of Burnsville.
