Republicans fail to defend a failed ticket

Sarah Palin is intellectually incapable of being the Vice President of the United State of America.

That statement cannot be disputed.

Republicans have been forced to defend John McCain’s VP pick since announcing the ticket, but have done so with as much brash criticism as those who attack his choice.

But the problem is that those who come to Palin’s defense, much like ECM’s debateless wonder, cannot offer any evidence that she is smart enough to lead our nation.  Instead, they just cry (and boy do they cry a lot) fowl when you attack her intelligence. This despite the fact that millions of Americans, including some of the unbiased Republicans (yes, there is such a thing), saw the Katie Couric interview and came to the conclusion that she is unfit for office.

This is me begging for someone to explain how Palin’s incoherent answers to simple questions in an ABC interview qualify her to lead our country.

Until then… take a look at these blog posts from CNN.  Here and here.  To reiterate my point, Palin is a mental midget.

    “they just cry…fowl”

Is that kind of like using my duck call?! QUACK, QUACK, QUACK….

But seriously, your implication is that any Republican who disagress with your assessment that Gov. Palin’s mental facilities are “midget”, is biased. That’s an inaccurate portrayal, and that is the kind of rhetoric you usually rail against in your blog and other comments.

I refrained from calling you on it in your last post on this topic, but I had to do it this time.

I was sincerely hoping someone like you, MisterC, would be able to defend her intelligence. And “Kind of rhetoric” that I “usually rail against,” come on. This is on a whole new level, and I know you understand that. She is not smart enough to be the Vice President of the United State of America. I’m waiting for you to tell me otherwise, not for you to tell me that calling her a mental midget is degrading. I know it is, and I’m not throwing such a slur at some random person on the street. I’m throwing that harsh statement at someone who has claimed, in every one of the few interviews she has done, that she is qualified to lead our country. Please help me out and explain why she is smart enough to be the President of the United State of America. As our top diplomatic leader, the president should be well-versed on worldly issues and certainly should be able to put together complete, coherent sentences on a regular basis.
