Reasons to attend a Twins game

It wasn’t the kind of start the Minnesota Twins and their fans were hoping for. Los Angeles clearly outplayed Minnesota in winning the season’s opening series 3-1. The Angels looked like a team headed for a pennant race. The Twins didn’t.

But, we’ve got the Kansas City Royals coming into town this weekend and who can’t beat up on them? Well, Detroit for one, couldn’t, dropping a three-game home series to the Royals. Not a great start for the team I picked to win it all in 2008.

Few have picked the Twins as a division contender and they may fade from the race rather quickly. However, there are some good reasons to take in a game or two, or three this season. Here are some:

WHAT DO YOU MEAN ABOUT THE K.C. ROYALS!!!! THEY HAVE TO DO WELL THIS YEAR – THEY HAVE A BRAND NEW STADIUM, COMPLETE WITH MINIATURE GOLF, STEAKS AND BBQ AND YOU CAN WALK ALL THE WAY AROUND IT. I LIVE THERE NOW (NOT IN THE STADIUM BUT CLOSE BY) AND CAN SEE THE FIREWORKS FROM MY HOUSE – HOPE THEY DO WELL TO PAY FOR THE STADIUM. IT WAS HARD TO BE A ROYAL’S FAN AFTER LEAVING MINNESOTA IN 1961 BUT HAVE GROWN TO STILL CHEER FOR THE WINNER – BEEN A LONG TIME FOR THE ROYALS SO HOPE THAT IF MINNESOTA DOESN’T HAVE A GOOD YEAR, YOU ALL CAN CHEER FOR K.C., HELP US WIN GAMES AND PAY FOR OUR NEW STADIUM.
